It’s that time of year again.. the season has arrived for soft cozy throw blankets. It’s time to get out your warm socks and snuggly slippers and get ready for relaxing by the fire with a cup of your favorite tea.
This seemed like a good time to shop for some new throws.. and take the opportunity to share some of my favorite finds with my visitors.
I rather prefer the throws with fringe for draping across the back of the sofa. Not only do they provide a nice decorative touch but throw blankets give your space a homey feel as well. And, it is especially nice to have one handy on a chilly day for relaxing on the sofa with a nice hot cup of peppermint tea with honey.

I also like to have a few oversized throw blankets rolled up in a basket by the sliding door going out to the patio. We have a fire pit out back and often enjoy going out to sit by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine.
There are so many beautiful, cozy, warm throw blankets to choose from it is difficult to make a decision. No matter what your style, there is sure to be something to suit your taste.
Heated Throw Blankets
Heated throw blankets are nice as well.. especially for those times when you just cannot seem to get warm.
I remember one night last winter.. I thought for sure I was coming down with something. I had on a warm sweatshirt and matching pants.. socks and cozy slippers. The heat in the house was set on 72 and yet I was absolutely chilled to the bone. I grabbed one of the large throws from the basket by the sliding door.
For some reason I just could not get warmed up. I have a couple of heated throw blankets in the linen closet so I went to get one of them. I plugged it in and snuggled up in it on the sofa with a cup of hot tea.
I was finally able to get warmed up. I was really glad I had gotten those heated throw blankets. I think that was the first time I used one of them. Since then we have used them several times and are really happy we have them.
Winter is also the time for snuggly blankets, quilts, and comforters. Below I have listed more of my favorites.
The Berber fleece blankets are so soft and warm. They always seem to be particularly comforting when you’re not feeling well. I have the white one below. I put it on the bed in December when the temperature starts dipping down quite a bit during the night.
The Down Alternative blankets are nice as well. They provide the warmth of down without the concerns of allergic reactions.
